It is with Great Sadness That We Announce the Passing of our CEO, Ewan Hunter

Ewan dedicated his life to the growth and development of handball in Scotland, across Britain, Europe, and the Commonwealth. His passion for our sport, his unwavering commitment to our community, and his belief in the power of handball inspired everyone who had the privilege of working with him.

Even in his final days, Ewan remained focused on ensuring the continued success of Scottish Handball and the future of the sport he loved so deeply. His leadership, kindness, and enthusiasm have left an enduring legacy that will continue to shape our game for years to come.

Our thoughts are with Ewan’s family, friends, colleagues, and everyone in the handball community at this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you, Ewan, for everything you gave to our sport. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Scottish Handball CEO elected to the European Handball League Board.

The 2024/2025 Scottish Handball season that recently finished was another outstanding step on the continued development of our sport.

The new Handball Scholarship is being launched in a collaboration between the Scottish Handball Association – Scotland’s national governing body for handball – and Oriam, Scotland's Sports Performance Centre, based at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.

The Scottish Handball Association (SHA) are proud to announce that NorDan, one of Europe's leading manufacturers of timber windows and doors, and smart accessories, will continue as the headline sponsor of the British Handball Super Cup for a fourth year.
