Mini Handball

Scottish Handball advocate for a scaled down version of handball for schools called "Mini Handball". This version is used to teach handball with rules adapted to make the game accessible, challenging and enjoyable for young people.

This popular version is five against five with a smaller court size and a smaller ball. With this game form, young people have more opportunities to touch the ball, pass it to their teammates or take shots on goal.

A very important difference between handball and mini handball is that body contact is avoided as we first need to teach proper technical-tactical elements.
