Fundamentals of Handball - Stage 1
Course Overview:
“Coaching the Fundamentals of Handball” is designed to enable coaches to deliver handball at a recreational level through small-sided games.
You will learn some of the basic sport specific skills required within handball as well as some of the fundamental movement skills players need to play and develop within the sport.
More importantly it will enable coaches to create an engaging environment where young players can develop their love of handball in a safe, enjoyable, and equitable environment.
Course Costs: £100*
Course Length: 2 Hours
Entry Requirements: Age 16+
Course Numbers: Minimum 8 / Maximum 20
Facilities Required: Sports Hall / Outdoor 3G Area
*Please note: We are offering this course free of charge for academic year 2024/2025. In return we look for participants to use this qualification to deliver within the local community. Examples of this include:
delivering a block of 3/4 weeks to local primary schools or within a S1/S2 class
setting up of an extra-curricular handball club within your school.
We also require the following data
- Number of Schools Delivered to
- Number of Weeks delivered
- Number of sessions delivered (if more than one class in the school received input)
- Number of Participants (Male / Female Split)
*Cancellation policy – Cancelations may be made up to 24 hours prior to the course taking place, any course cancelation within the 24 hour window may be liable to cover the full cost of the course subject to extenuating circumstances.
