The Scottish Handball Association confirms that its Chairperson, Beverley Francis, has stepped down from her role in the organisation, with immediate effect.
Francis has taken this decision, in agreement with the Board, due to a change in personal circumstances, which means she is unable to give the role the full attention it requires.
The current Board Non-Executive Director, Ross Kirkwood, becomes interim-Chairperson until a new Board Chair is appointed. The current Board, and Chief Executive Officer, Ewan Hunter, will commence the search for Beverley's replacement in the coming weeks, with the intention to make a permanent appointment at the Scottish Handball Association Annual General Meeting in September.
Chief Executive Officer, Ewan Hunter, said: "Scottish Handball thanks Beverley for the work she has undertaken with the organisation since her appointment last year. My thanks also go to Ross Kirkwood for offering to step into this role while we seek to appoint a successor."
The Scottish Handball Association staff and Board members wish Beverley Francis the very best for the future.
